It was two for the price of one with politicians attended the reopening of a pharmacy.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford had originally been invited to cut the ribbon at the Boots shop in Main Street, Cross Hills near Keighley, but the move caused an outcry as the village is just over the border in North Yorkshire and is administered by Craven District Council.
Instead, the chairman of Craven, Coun Marcia Turner, opened the pharmacy while the Bradford’s civic head, Coun Howard Middleton, was a guest.
