Bingley Harrier Jonathan Brownlee is to join his elder brother Alistair in Beijing.

However, the younger sibling isn't competing in the triathlon, as Alistair will be.

Jonathan is part of "Britain's Olympic Ambition 2012" programme, which is designed to enhance the country's medal prospects for London in four years' time.

Athletes from 33 Olympic disciplines will be spending seven days in Macau and Beijing during the 2008 Olympics.

In Macau, Brownlee and co will visit the Team GB preparation camp, while in Beijing they will see the Olympic Village and the Athletes' Lodge, as well as having a press conference fronted by their mentors - Olympians such as Denise Lewis, Ed Coode and Alison Mowbray.

In addition, the participants in "Britain's Olympic Ambition 2012" programme will be given the opportunity to watch two competition sessions for their specific discipline.
