Keighley 20, Malton & Norton 17
Keighley’s chances of victory looked slim when they were trailing 17-3 at half-time, especially having lost the services of full back Mark Beckett with a knee injury.
A penalty by Alex Brown was all they had to show after an erratic first-half performance, with the visitors capitalising on Keighley’s mistakes to run in tries by flanker Triffit and centre McCrone.
Ian Cook added two conversions and a penalty.
No 8 Leigh Sugden sparked Keighley’s revival when he drove over from a scrum five metres out, with Brown adding the extras and a penalty in addition.
A spirited comeback by the hosts saw replacement flanker Will Armitage cross the line from a charge down five minutes from time.
Brown converted brilliantly from the touchline to earn Keighley two vital points which edged them a further notch up the table to eighth place.
