Avenue call off Blades friendly

Bradford Park Avenue’s scheduled meeting with a Sheffield United XI at Horsfall Stadium tomorrow night has been cancelled.
The Blades could not fulfill the fixture with a worthwhile squad.
Avenue director Kevin Hainsworth said: “Sheffield couldn’t raise a team because their first team and reserves have already started their season.
“We contacted local clubs to try to get different opposition for the same night but because the NCE League season began last Saturday none of them could step in for a friendly.”
