A busy night of non-league football tomorrow sees five local clubs in action as the West Riding County Cup reaches the second-round stage.
Two have home advantage but most of the focus will be on managerless BRADFORD PARK AVENUE even though they are away to Selby Town.
With a successor to Dave Cameron yet to be named and caretaker boss Mike Marsh still out of the country, it could be that goalkeeping coach Gary Stokes will be in charge of the dugout.
Stokes was due to pick the side and run the show from the sidelines on Saturday but Avenue’s UniBond League Premier Division home fixture against Leigh Genesis was a victim of the weather.
Stokes is delighted to get his chance to take the hot-seat and will be available for this coming Saturday’s trip to Nantwich Town if required.
Despite the tannoy announcement at Nethermoor on Saturday, the T&A did publish the fixtures correctly.
GUISELEY are at home, which was stated in Saturday’s paper, to Ossett Town for tomorrow night’s all-UniBond Premier tie.
Lion assistant manager Wayne Benn said: “It’s another fixture against the club Steve (manager Kittrick) and myself left to come here.
“This cup game, like last week’s League Cup tie against Avenue, is an opportunity to get some of the recent substitutes much-needed game time and for Steve to implement different systems.”
LIVERSEDGE are the other club with home advantage as they host Garforth Town, who make the short journey from Leeds.
Northern Counties East League Premier Division outfit Sedge are a division below their visitors, who took Guiseley to a replay in the FA Cup this season.
FARSLEY CELTIC face a short trip to Wakefield and will come up against a familiar face in Jamie Walshaw.
The striker made a surprise move from the Blue Square North club to the UniBond Division One North outfit a fortnight ago.
To complete tomorrow’s quintet of ties, BRIGHOUSE TOWN journey to NCE League Division One rivals Pontefract Collieries.
However, Ponte are joint leaders of the section with games in hand while Town, new to the non-league scene, are lodged in lower mid-table.
