Buxton 1, Bradford PA 1
Avenue rescued a point with a late goal in tonight’s UniBond Premier Division clash and could even have sneaked a win.
The only goal of the first half came from the penalty spot in the 16th minute after Avenue keeper Jon Worsnop had raced off his line and made contact with an attacker, Darren Reet slotting in.
Buxton paid for not making the most of further chances as Avenue substitutes Stuart Rudd and Ged Murphy made a difference.
It was Murphy who levelled when he drilled in a low shot from 30 yards in the 82nd minute before Rudd came close to netting a winner for the visitors.
