Rhodes leads United goal charge

Bradford United won all but one of their five KEYBURY LEAGUE games, with the top performance coming from the under-eights as they triumphed 13-0 against Albion Sports.

Ethan Rhodes scored four times and there were hat-tricks from Asa Mitchell and captain Jack Holroyd, who was man of the match.

Other goals came from Janaas Khan (two) and Cameron Miles, while Jordan Moorhouse made some fine saves to ensure a clean sheet.

Top performances for Sports came from Reuban Cheema and Nathanial Hendricks.

United’s under-sevens won 6-3 at BD3 United, led by Thomas Marshall’s hat-trick. Felan Panwar (two) and Ali Arshad were also on target and Ali Arshad impressed as well.

The club’s under-nines won 1-0 to maintain their unbeaten start and hand hosts Bramley Phoenix their first defeat.

Mason Kirby bagged the decisive goal before outstanding defence from man of the match Jonathon Holmes, Liam Stahtam and Owen Clark kept Bramley out.

United’s under-11s were 3-0 winners at home to Leeds Maccabi, man of the match Hanif Hussian earning a slender interval lead before Riccardo Macor and Phemphero Kallinggama killed off the contest.

Bradford’s only defeat saw the under-tens miss out 2-1 to Stanningley Albion, Saeef Ali providing the consolation with his first goal for the club as keeper Nathan Allatt also impressed.

Joshua Stoyles scored four long-range goals in a losing cause as Albion Sports under-15s just missed out to Pudsey Juniors for the second successive match.

This time it finished 7-5, with man of match Ryan Minshull completing the Albion scoring.

Albion’s under-tens returned to winning ways as man of the match Isaac Elliot inspired a 5-0 victory at Sutton Rebels.

Avraj Basi kicked of the scoring with further goals coming from Faisal Ali (two), Kyle Trenerry and Hisham Malik.

Albion’s under-nines had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Weston Lane, who cancelled out Lewis Hawkes’ opener in the dying moments.

Harry Palmer scored twice as Queensbury Cougars under-tens edged out Westwood Jets 3-2 in a tense top-of-the-table clash.

George Beck completed the Cougars scoring, while keeper Jack Atkinson’s outstanding performance earned the man of the match honours.

Queensbury Colts under-tens drew 1-1 with leaders Westwood Dolphins, who were only denied a victory by keeper Gabriel Armsden. Alex Sykes had opened the scoring for the Colts.

Thackley Thunder under-eights kept up their 100 per cent start to the season with an emphatic 14-0 home win over Pudsey.

Daniel Frost and Lewis Collett led the scoring with four goals apiece, supported by James Clapham (three), Lucy Patchett, Michael Stewart and Jacob Dawson.

Matthew Thompson excelled for Sandy Lane Reds under-nines but could not prevent a 1-0 defeat at home to Gomersal/Cleckheaton A.

It was an equally even game between Sandy Lane Blues and Gomersal B but this time the outcome was reversed as goals by Jamie Bradley and Ben Tearne secured a 2-1 win for the hosts.
