Bradford United under-sevens edged out Bradford Tigers 3-2 as Felan Panwar’s second goal, the first having been a penalty, secured the KEYBURY LEAGUE victory.
Ali Arshad was also on target, while keeper Thomas Marshall impressed as well.
United’s under-tens also had a tough test but emerged 4-2 winners against Thackley to end a run of three straight defeats.
Callum Towriss, Jack Mongan, Josh Mckiernan and Jake Wilkinson, who was man of the match, supplied the firepower.
Meanwhile, the club’s under-eights played a number of games at Manchester United’s famous Cliff training complex against the Red Devils’ development centre youngsters.
Matthew Malloy struck the decisive goal for Westwood Jets under-eights in the opening ten minutes as they edged out Leeds City A Juniors 1-0. Josh Silson was man of the match.
Meanwhile, Westwood Dolphins made it five wins out of five with a 6-2 success against Leeds City. Ryan Abbasi and James Larvin netted two apiece, with Sam Hastings and Luke Stoyles also on the mark.
Two goals each from Harrison Burden and Joe Lawrence steered Bingley Juniors’ under-sevens A team to a 6-1 victory over Thackley Juniors A. Sam Dixon and Ben Duglosz also netted.
Bingley’s B team also beat Thackley, coming from behind to win 5-4 as Joseph Hall’s hat-trick was supported by a Jonathan Sutcliffe double.
Declan Kirwan’s hat-trick set up a 7-3 win for Campion Irons under-tens over Sutton Rascals. Theo Morris (2), Sufian Ali and Tyler Magloire also scored.
Eccleshill United’s under-ten Falcons were 2-0 home winners against Bingley.
