Over 20 teams took part in the West Bradford School Sports Partnership’s Primary School soccer finals at Thornton Grammar School.

Competitions were held at Year Six and Year Four level, with matches refereed by sixth-form students from the secondary school. The competition used a league format followed by a rugby premiership-style knockout.

Clayton CofE Primary won the Year Four event, beating Green Lane Pri-mary 4-2, and Springwood and Horton Park shared the Year Six open event after a 0-0 draw following extra time.

Clayton Village won the Year Six B Open event after a 2-0 victory over Whetley and Horton Park defeated Lidget Green 4-0 in the Year Six girls’ final.

The tournament was linked with the Kick It Out anti-racism campaign.
