Harriers raising cash for kids

Horsforth Harriers have handed over a cheque for £850 to Radio Aire/Magic 828’s Cash for Kids charity following money raised from the Horsforth 10K.

The cheque presentation by race director Bob Foulkes was made to Ros Raine, Cash For Kids’ charity manager from Radio Aire, at the Harriers’ base at Horsforth Hall Park Cricket Club.

Money was raised by competitors adding to their entry fees and sponsors matching that pound for pound.

Raine, who has previously completed the Great North Run for the charity, went out with one of Horsforth Harriers’ training groups immediately prior to the cheque presentation.

She then spoke about Cash for Kids, which aims to make the lot of West Yorkshire’s sick, underprivileged and disabled children that little bit easier.
