There was little on paper to separate Bradford Grammar School and Leeds Grammar School before they clashed in the third round of the Daily Mail Under-15 Cup rugby union tournament at Frizinghall.
While Leeds won their second-round tie 52-0 at King’s Pontefract, BGS were racking up 53 unanswered points at Outwood Grange College.
Prince Henry’s Grammar, Otley, were also convincing on their travels, defeating Guiseley Comprehensive 32-5, while Woodhouse Grove enjoyed home comforts in disposing of Ashville College 47-7.
Bingley Grammar were edged out 15-12 at Roundhay, while Mirfield Free Grammar lost 24-19 in another tight encounter against visitors Rishworth.
Harrogate Grammar are proving party-poopers, firstly beating visitors Ilkley Grammar 47-17 in the opening round before triumphing 26-5 at Ermysted’s.
