New signing James Morton made an immediate impact for Baildon in their 39-5 rugby union colts victory over Pocklington at Jenny Lane.
From the kick-off, the hosts gave a glimpse of their potential.
The ball was received from the forwards and the backs spun it quickly to Morton, who joined the line from full back and out-stripped the defence to score out wide.
Baildon then showed their usual complacency and allowed the Pocklington full back to fend off four tackles before scoring.
The hosts then re-established themselves for Andy Robinson to score a blind-side try from a ruck, Morton later joining the line to put Rob Moore over for a try which the scorer converted.
Baildon continued to dominate and, from a well-won line-out, Moore’s crossfield kick was caught on the full by Morton, who scored.
This was quickly followed by a try by JJ O’Connell, who side-stepped his way through to make it 27-5.
Baildon made several changes in the second half but still managed a try by Tom Christie in the centre, Moore converting, and another by Ryan Kershaw.
