The Bradford Cricket League have received a double sponsorship boost.
Not only have JCT600 extended their sponsorship of the League for a further two seasons but Sovereign Health Care have agreed to back both the Priestley Cup and Priestley Shield for 2009.
Both companies are supporting the League to the tune of £5,000 per year.
Bradford-based car dealership JCT600 are therefore supporting the league until the end of the 2010 campaign, having started helping them in 2007.
Sovereign Health Care, who also operate from Bradford, have continuously backed the knockout competitions since 1996.
League chairman Graham Reid said: “We are delighted that such respected local companies are supporting our league - especially in such a difficult financial climate.
“It would be challenging if we were to have to go into the marketplace and find new backers in these times of credit crunch.”
Showing how vital such backing is, Reid added: “With the weather playing havoc with our cup competitions in 2008, if it hadn’t been for the sponsorship of Sovereign Health Care the finalists wouldn’t have received any financial remuneration.”
