Aire-Wharfe League side Silsden are still pinching themselves after becoming champions of Division Two for the first time in the club’s 130-year history.
They finished 16 points clear of runners-up Calverley to win promotion and will be able to celebrate moving into a new clubhouse with top-flight cricket next season.
A six-wicket win over Knaresborough in their final match put the icing on the cake and vice-captain Lee Bilbrough said: “It was a superb end to a historic season.
“It sees the first team champions of Division Two for the first time in the club’s history. That means we will be playing top-flight cricket out of the new clubhouse in 2009.
“It’s a massive achievement in one of the most competitive divisions in recent years.”
