The Bradford Area Cricket Council will be holding their annual six-a-side competition, sponsored by DR Sports, at Woodlands Indoor Cricket Centre on Saturday, November 29 (1pm).

The winners will go forward to represent Bradford in the Yorkshire finals and the winners there will go into the national finals at Lord’s.

For the past two years, Gomersal have been successful in representing Bradford but entries have been disappointing and the Council are looking for more clubs to enter.

Should more teams than usual do so, games could also be played the following Saturday.

Applications from clubs, including an entry fee of £30, are required by Friday, November 14 to Area Council secretary David Wilson at 51 Hillfoot Drive, Pudsey, Leeds LS28 7QL.

He is also contactable by telephone (01132-564349), mobile (mobile 07788-634377) or by e-mailing david.wilson1457@ntlworld.com.

Meanwhile, member clubs are reminded that the BRADFORD JUNIOR LEAGUE annual meeting is on Thursday, November 27 at Cleckheaton Sports Club (7.30pm).

Any new clubs or teams wanting to join the league at under-11, under-13, under-15 or under-17 level should contact joint league secretary Neil Johnson on 07912-017171 or at neiljohnson4@sky.com and bring the relevant paperwork on the night.
