I thought the Barnet game was one of our poorest performances of the season.
But we still scored three good goals despite not playing well, which has to be a positive sign.
There were no excuses afterwards. It was one of those games where we let ourselves down with the mistakes that we made.
Barnet went away saying how well they had played but they wouldn’t have scored if we hadn’t made those errors at the back.
The only reason we let the other team take a point was because we made silly mistakes for their goals.
Let’s hope we’ve got all our errors out of the way at once and we can get back to keeping it tight and picking up a few clean sheets. We had been defending very well as a team in the previous few games, so hopefully it was just an unfortunate one-off.
We’ve got a run of matches coming up and, on paper, they look tough.
But maybe that’s a good thing. Certainly in the time that I’ve been here, we’ve often had that little extra edge about our play when we’re up against bigger opposition. It’s about how you approach every game.
MK Dons away is one of the toughest ties you could get at this stage of the FA Cup and we’re under no illusions.
We went there last year when they were flying high and we were really struggling and tried to frustrate them. It worked really well until a late error again got them in the game.
I don’t know if we’ll try the same approach again or go there and try to impose ourselves on them but I’m sure we can give a good account of ourselves.
It would be nice to get through in the cup and have a bit of a run. We would all love to draw a big team later on and get the club some money.
But we’ve got a lot of injuries at the minute and this might give a few of the lads a chance to get back in time for the next league game.
Everyone’s priority is getting out of this division this season, so giving us an extra week until the Wycombe match could be good news in the long run.

Firstly, we have been making "silly errors" all season.
Secondly, "get back to keeping it tight"? We only kept it tight once this season and that was against Bury. Hardly confidence in "picking up a few clean sheets".
Finally, "hopefully it was just a one-off"? Are we watching the same team? If you think we have defended well this season, apart from Barnet, no wonder we are conceding so many goals. You lot obviously believe you are doing your jobs well, when in fact you are doing them poorly.
