Omar Daley's World Cup is over after Jamaica were eliminated on goal difference.
The City winger was suspended for the final qualifying group match as the Reggae Boyz thumped Canada 3-0 in Kingston.
But Jamaica's third successive home win proved academic after Honduras beat Mexico 1-0 - a result which meant that both countries go through.
Jamaica were praying on a win for Sven Goran Eriksson's Mexico. But they had two players sent off and scored the only goal - an own goal from Ricardo Osorio.
Honduras won the CONCACAF group on 12 points with second-placed Mexico and Jamaica both tied on nine.
