Omar Daley is in contention for November’s PFA 2UP Fans’ Player of the Month Award for League Two.

The City winger has been nominated along with Chesterfield’s Jamie Ward, Pablo Mills of Rotherham and Wycombe’s Mike Williamson.

Daley scored City’s first goal in their 2-1 FA Cup win at MK Dons with a fine individual effort.

Bantams striker Peter Thorne won the award for September.

Fans can vote at www.givemefootball.com/vote up until midnight on November 30.

Although it would be nice for Daley, I hope he doesn't win the award. I fear the wretched curse may strike if he was to collect the gong.

Thorne won it in September and has struggled with fitness and form since.

Personally, on a serious note, I think Jamie Ward will win it. He has scored nearly as many goals as Thorne, yet he is a midfield player.

Waynus, I don't want to be facetious but scoring 11 is not nearly as many as Thorne it is exactly the same as Thorne.

I'm not going to lie, if Daley wins the award then it really is a joke. he has probably scored the "cut insude and unleash the right foot shot goal" four times since he signed, I remember the first one was in League One. Sadly, this seems to allow him to be utterly useless for the other 90% of games he plays in. You can see why people might get excited by watching Daley but seriously, his general play is awful. His pass completion would probably rival that of a centre back, he might beat his full back a few times but how often does he actually produce a telling cross a la Beagrie?

If there is any way that we can persuade someone to give us cash for Daley it would be the best deal since making Graham Taylor fork out £650k for Ian Ormondroyd (no offence sticks but it really was a lot of dosh!)

Not like you to get your facts wrong Waynus, but think that you'll find that Jamie Ward is a striker, which he will no doubt illustrate next Tues by banging in a few against our rather suspect defence.

Fair point.

I just remember watching Look North late one evening and Chesterfield had just hammered Exeter 6-1 and the newsreader announced 'the diminutive midfielder, Ward, has scored a couple to take his tally to 5 in a week'.

Note to self - must do better. Sorry boys, mistake won't be repeated!

Shouldn't really watch Look North then Waynus, unless it's to see that fit weather girl Lisa Gallagher. Don't think she's a Bradford lass though, as she hasn't got much up front!

She could be then and as for Waynus he gets a lot of things wrong and what he doesn't know he makes up.
