Jonno's got what it takes

It’s been great to see Richard Johnson in our squad this week for the trip down to London.

Jonno is probably one of the longest-serving players at the club and it’ll be brilliant if he now finally gets to play Super League.

I think he was very unlucky not to be promoted to the first-team squad a long time ago.

He was a little disillusioned by that at the time, and understandably so, but he went away and got a full-time job, starting his own business as a joiner.

It’s probably all actually turned out better for him now but I’m sure if he does get a chance against Harlequins, he’ll show everyone how good he is.

He’s athletic with great attributes – quality footwork and good speed – and all the lads have real faith in him to do the business if he does get called on.

We’ve had a few injuries again and 'Deacs' is doing it tough with his hamstring, which is a shame because he’d just got back into the swing of things.

But we’re all looking forward to Harlequins.

It’s always a tough fixture down there and they have a lot of quick players, dangerous outside backs and people who like to run out of dummy half.

They’ve had success against us in the past but we are excited by the match.

It’s good to be away together as a squad again and we want to build on the two points against Wakefield.

They are always entertaining fixtures down there but we just want to get out there and get playing again after the weekend off.

Wayne Godwin might get a better night’s sleep being away in the hotel before Sunday's match.

Apparently he’s getting frightened by things that go bump in the night back at home.

Wagga maintains his house is being haunted as he keeps waking up and seeing things!

He reckons that something’s moving around in the shadows but when he goes to investigate he can’t cos he’s been pinned down ... by a ghost!
