We’ve been doing a lot of research into the Guinness Book of World Records this week, trying to get Craig Kopczak in there for most disallowed tries in a season.

We reckon his effort against Hull last Sunday was his fourth this year and he claims to have gone over every time only to see them all chalked off.

Either there’s been a conspiracy from all the referees or he needs to be in that record book!

Koppy’s now gone three years without scoring and is still awaiting his first-ever try. He’s absolutely distraught and the lads have been on his back.

Hopefully he’s got another two games left to redeem himself but it’s safe to say he’s already an old veteran of naked running!

One man who isn’t is Big Joe. He managed to get over against Hull for a bit of a rarity try, leaving it until late in the season as always to get his first, so yet again he’s somehow escaped the embarrassment.

Joey’s kept saying he’s been trying NOT to score for the last 15 years but can’t help touching down. That’s what he’s running with anyway.

I’m sure a lot of young ladies’ hearts will be broken wherever we go on Mad Monday, realising he won’t be in action again!

Joe’s also announced this week he’s retiring at the end of the season. After toing and froing he’s come to a decision and it’s a massive blow for the team but more so the club.

He’s a massive personality and has been for the last eight years. He’s just a great character and bloke, everyone respects him and holds him in the highest regard.

It will be like losing someone like Les – a big character around the place – but it’s up to these young boys to come and fill his huge shoes.

It’s Hull KR on Bank Holiday Monday and everything’s up for grabs.

They’ve done themselves a big favour beating Warrington but it was a good win for us last weekend in a match we saw as a kind of rebirth of our season.

We’re restarting everything from scratch for these last three games, ready to put in some performances for the play-offs.
