Sienna Miller has accepted a total of £53,000 damages in settlement of her harassment and privacy claims over an "intolerable" campaign by pursuing photographers.

The 26-year-old actress had sued agency Big Pictures UK Limited and its founder Darryn Lyons, who have agreed to pay her £37,000 damages and her legal costs.

The case was due to be tried at London's High Court on January 19 but her counsel, David Sherborne, told Mr Justice Eady that the two sides had come to terms.

The agreement included detailed undertakings not to pursue or follow the actress, or to doorstep her at her home or that of her family.

Miller also accepted payment of another £16,000 damages in settlement of her earlier action against Big Pictures for invasion of privacy over a series of intrusive photographs which it procured and syndicated in July.

Her solicitor, Mark Thomson, said that this agreement concluded the litigation which Miller brought against both News Group Newspapers and Big Pictures UK Limited in July of this year.

Ms Miller accepted £35,000 when she reached a settlement with News Group earlier this month.

At an earlier hearing, Mr Sherborne said that her life had been "made intolerable by the conduct of which we complain".
